This limited-production Heritage Clone Pinot Noir is made from the best old-vine Pommard, sourced from the Starscape Vineyard. The flavor captured in this bottle is as magical and impressive as the hillsides of the Russian River Valley where it is grown.
Dark garnet in the glass, a powerful nose of Bing cherries, black raspberries, river rock, and baking spice leads into a smooth palate that epitomizes the beauty of the appellation. A loaded mouthful of red plums, black tea, cinnamon, and cedar harmonizes beautifully with time in the glass. A polished finish canvases the senses, ending with refined tannins and a softness that fades gently into the next sip. With only 6 barrels produced, this micro lot highlights the combination of meticulous farming and supreme attention to detail in the cellar.
