This Cabernet Franc is crafted from old-vine grapes grown on our Conn Valley Estate. Situated on the rocky hillsides of Howell Mountain overlooking Lake Hennessey, these vineyards exemplify classic mountain-style Cabernet Franc.

TASTING NOTES

Magenta in the glass with a dark garnet core, enticing aromas of wild blackberries, Morello cherries, crushed gravel, purple violets, leather, truffle, toffee, and hints of graham cracker evolve effortlessly with time in the glass. The palate is rich in tension and opulence, with generous layers of crushed mulberries, black raspberries, wet stone, underbrush, and toasted marshmallow, all wrapped in a plush texture and backed by a vibrant fruit-driven acidity. The wine’s classic mountain tannins are tamed beautifully, providing an elegant structure, all leading to a concentrated finish full of ripe berries and a faint kiss of oak. With only 6 barrels produced, this wine epitomizes what we love about hillside Cabernet Franc from our winery estate.
